Translations
To get started with translations you can send us a message via the web form at https://mystory.today/contact
Then you'll get an account for our Weblate service where you can do the translations. You will get an invite via mail, afterwards you will be added to the project.
When you log in, select the “MyStory.today/client” project.
After this you have an overview of different languages which are currently available or even planned for the app. Click on the language you want to translate.
After you clicked on the language, you can select the “Unfinished strings” to see all the related strings, which needs to be translated.
Translate strings
Within the translation view you can see at the top right the original string. This is what you will see on the translations page when toggling the button.
Deepl auto translation
As a bonus there is a Deepl integration so you can copy some suggestions by just clicking “Clone to translation”.
After you copied the string you have to check if everything is fine, uncheck and save.
Find keys
To find keys you can use the special MyStory.today website which is a copy of the latest beta-release. You can navigate through all the features. To identify the key of a string, just click the floating button which toggles between the selected language and the source string.
When you identified the source, you can search for in the MyStory.today translation project on the home page below “Search”:
Testing
Your changes are automatically deployed once a day to the translation-page-URL. So you can test changes and adjust translation strings if needed.
